Caring for leather

Fine leather is a living material: it softens with use, its colour deepens, and it takes on a patina that is yours alone. A little care is all it needs.

Let it breathe

When you are not using your bag, fill it with paper and keep it in its dust bag, in a dry place away from sunlight. Plastic bags stop leather from breathing.

Away from water and heat

If it gets wet, blot it with a dry cloth without rubbing, and let it dry naturally. Radiators and hairdryers stiffen leather.

Nourish it twice a year

Apply a colourless leather cream in a very thin layer. Test it first on a small, hidden area.
